About FaithClips

FaithClips is the Internet home of the Clark family. We are Kevin (father), Janet (mother), Taylor (daughter), Jordan (son), Elijah (son), and Peyton (daughter). We live in Elizabeth, Colorado, a small, rural town southeast of Denver.

Kevin was born in Texas and grew up in Oklahoma. He attended Putnam City West High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He started college at the University of Oklahoma (OU) in Norman, then transferred to the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He is, however, still a rabid fan of OU Sooners football. His father was a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). His mother served in the Revelle College Dean’s Office at UCSD. Kevin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from UCSD and a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies (MATS) from Bethel Seminary in San Diego. He worked for ten years as an engineer for the United States Navy at Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). He’s now the Pastor at Faith Baptist Church (FBC) in Parker, Colorado.

Janet was born and raised in San Diego. Her father served as head of an intelligence branch at SPAWAR and her mother was a public school teacher. Janet attended Patrick Henry High School and UCSD, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree after double-majoring in Communications and Literature with an emphasis in Writing. She also earned a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the College of Education at San Diego State University (SDSU). Janet worked as a reporter at the Daily Californian newspaper, and later as lead content designer for LightSpan, an educational software producer. She is currently self-employed as an educational consultant, designing online training tools and working for a variety of curriculum producers.

Kevin and Janet have been married for 25 years. Their daughter Taylor is a freshman at Biola University in La Mirada, California. She loves writing, guitar and volleyball. Their son Jordan is a high school senior at Colorado Early Colleges in Parker. He is involved in Boy Scouts and enjoys drums and video games. Kevin and Janet traveled to the city of Guangzhou in the People’s Republic of China to adopt their son Elijah in late 2014. In mid 2016, they returned to China to the city of Guizhou to adopt their daughter Peyton. You can read about their adoption stories by clicking the Adoption menu option.

In their free time, the Clarks love to play together as a family, hang out with friends, watch movies, hike and tent camp in the local mountains, or visit places like Disneyland, the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, Sea World, and the beaches of San Diego. They are also active in a many ways at FBC, where Kevin serves on staff. But the most important part of their lives is their faith in Jesus Christ. Kevin, Janet, Taylor, and Jordan have all received Jesus as Lord and Savior and committed their lives to following him. Those decisions color everything they do and say, as well as all their dreams and goals.
